This week will be busy week for Balinese, where Balinese will celebrate Galungan on Wenesday, Oct 14th. Galungan always celebrates every once of 6 months, and ten days after Galungan, Balinese will celebrate Kuningan.

Balinese usually do massacre the animals, such as pig, chicken, or buffalo, where those animals will be sacrificed as special offerings. On Penampahan day, Balinese peoples also installs “penjor” (tall, decorated bamboo poles that are curved at the top) in front of their house compound, Penjor will express that gratitude of Balinese for the prosperity of the earth which bestowed to them. The day after Galungan will known as Manis Galungan, where that day will use to visit family or colleague to say Happy Galungan each others.
